They embark on an exhil­ar­at­ing jour­ney through time and space to find out more about the artist of the work, one of Singapore’s most import­ant first gen­er­a­tion artists: Mr Cheong Soo Pieng.

The his­tor­ical back­drop to Cheong Soo Pieng’s life spans from China to Singa­pore, to other parts of South­east Asia and to Europe. These rich his­tor­ical details are woven into the graphic novel nar­rat­ive of Blot and Red’s adven­ture. The break­throughs and dis­tinct­ive qual­it­ies of Cheong Soo Pieng’s art are also seen through the eyes of Blot and Red as they end their jour­ney with a visit to the artist’s studio.
